“Ahoy” is a thematic board game by Leder Games that plunges 2-4 players into a world of nautical adventure and tactical smuggling, where controlling regions and delivering cargo are keys to gaining fame. Players navigate the game’s waters as unique factions, such as the Mollusk Union or the Bluefin Squadron, each with distinct abilities and strategies, with additional factions introduced in the “Ahoy: New Horizons” expansion. The game combines dice-rolling mechanics with area control and hand management, offering a rich, asymmetric experience that scales from intense two-player duels to broader contests with three or four players, where additional roles like smugglers come into play.
