Arkham Horror the Card Game

“Arkham Horror: The Card Game” is a cooperative living card game set in the universe of H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. Designed by Nate French and Matthew Newman and published by Fantasy Flight Games, it was first released in 2016. Players take on the roles of investigators in the 1920s town of Arkham, Massachusetts, and work together to unravel eldritch mysteries and conspiracies.

Each player builds a deck that represents their character’s skills, equipment, and mental state, which they use to navigate a series of narrative-driven scenarios. These scenarios form larger campaigns where decisions and outcomes have lasting consequences, shaping the direction of the story.

As a living card game, “Arkham Horror: The Card Game” is expanded through regular releases of new content, including new investigators, scenarios, and campaigns. Unlike collectible card games, these expansions are not randomized, allowing players to directly purchase the content they want.

The game is known for its deep narrative, challenging decision-making, and the unique way it blends traditional card game mechanics with elements of role-playing and resource management, all within a richly thematic horror setting.
