Dixit is a charming, creative, and storytelling card game where players use abstractly illustrated cards to weave brief stories. On their turn, the active player, known as the “storyteller,” chooses one of their cards and gives a clue, which can be in the form of a phrase, word, or a sound that relates to the image on the card. The other players then select one of their own cards that best matches the storyteller’s clue, and all chosen cards are shuffled and revealed. Everyone except the storyteller votes on which card they believe was the original inspiration for the clue. Points are awarded based on the number of correct guesses and misleading other players with convincing alternative cards. The goal is to be the first to reach a set number of points, with gameplay that encourages creativity, intuition, and social interaction.
