Race for the Galaxy is a fast-paced card game where players build galactic civilizations through the clever management of cards that represent worlds or technical and social developments. Each round, players secretly and simultaneously choose which one of seven phases they will lock in, all reveal at once, then execute the phases in order. With options to explore, settle, develop, trade, consume, or produce, players must strategically select actions that will benefit their empire, while also keeping an eye on their opponents’ actions to capitalize on shared phase choices. Victory points are accumulated through establishing various worlds, building developments, and achieving objectives, with the game concluding once a set number of worlds are settled or a pool of victory points is depleted, leading to a tally to determine the winner.
